The Millhouse at Skidby
The Millhouse is a venue which benefits from great, neutral decor meaning any colour scheme will stand on its own here. Windows on three sides flood the stylish restaurant with natural light and give it a bright, airy feel. We love decorating this venue.
As the venue's chairs are quite a feature in their own right, you can get away without chair covers and instead go straight to lovely lace or delicate ruffles. As the chairs are quite heavily tapered we tie our bows lower down at the narrowest point of the chair so there's no chance of slipping and they'll stay put and pretty for you all day.

Elliott & Tasha, 10th of September 2022
Elliot & Tasha chose soft sage for their big day - a bright and breezy option for an intimate affair in the Millhouse's rooftop terrace. We think that our delicate sage chair linens and top quality artificial trees complimented each other beautifully. After the ceremony, a full-length table arrangement of greenery and candles created a gorgeous focal point for the wedding breakfast.

Sasha & Benn, 14th of April 2022
Sasha & Benn opted for a proper white wedding look. Our white ruffles lifted and brightened the room and complemented The Millhouse's neutral décor just perfectly.
Emma & Anthony, 28th of January 2022
For Emma & Anthony's big day we struck a balance between vintage and rustic. Hessian and lace, lots of candles, foliage and blossom all combined to make a gorgeous set of décor that suited the Millhouse's light and airy aesthetic just perfectly.
Phillip & Darcy, 8th of January 2022
Steph & Ben, 7th of January 2022
Stephanie and Ben, who went for a classic white and ivory look with blossom, lace and a touch of greenery. Our rustic LOVE letters lit the dance floor with the word of the day. As well as enjoying putting everything together we were blown away with the reception we got. Every person who came into the room that day walked in with a wow, and the feedback from our beautiful bride left us over the moon.
Neil & Ann-Marie, 4th of October 2021
The bride and groom chose a beautiful combination of rich navy chair dressing, ivory blossom, and tree slice centrepieces which lent a gentle rustic touch to the room. Beautiful.
Bee & Lee, May 2021
Bee was an absolute delight to deal with as we planned the décor for hers and Lee's big day. Our beautiful weeping wisteria trees were planned as one of the key features of the Millhouse's gorgeous glasshouse. Having them in the corners of the room at each end of the top table gave a fresh feeling to the room as we brought a sense of the outside in. They also provided the perfect backdrop for some beautiful photos of the bride and groom
[A short break for the covid pandemic.]
Caroline & Matt, 26th of September 2020
The décor was kept simple and sweet for Caroline and Matt's intimate 30-person wedding. Hessian and a hint of greenery helped to create a relaxed, country wedding feel. A heaping helping of rose petals saw our bride down the aisle in style!
Amy & Andrew, 25th of August 2019
Amy kept her décor simple with dressing that complemented the aesthetic at the Millhouse. We dressed the chairs with crisp white covers and peachy blush sashes and prettied up the top table and cake table with our elegant white skirting.
(We dressed the restaurant the night before the wedding so not the best lighting for these photos!)

Jessica & Richard, 17th of August 2019
Jessica's vision for her big day was pure white with the occasional pop of colour. Our dressing with white ruffles gave the room texture and romance even while sticking to that one colour across all the chairs. The bride alternated our floating candle centrepieces with fresh floral centrepieces from a local florist.
Jessica & Declan, 9th of August 2019
Jessica chose our pretty pink ruffles for hers and Declan's big day. We loved dressing The Millhouse with these, particularly as it was our first time using these linens for a ceremony there.
Jim & Jillian, 18th of June 2019
Jim and Jillian celebrated their marriage with a relaxed meal in The Millhouse's private rooftop lounge. A small wedding can be just as beautiful as a big one. Seating all your guests with you at one big table is a great way to make sure you get to properly see and talk to everyone.
Our creamy ivory ruffles lifted and complemented the room's brown chairs. Colour-matched green heart chocolates were a cute finishing touch to match with the couple's floral arrangements and place cards.

Beverly & Andrew, 31st of May 2019
Bev was a lovely lady to work with. From the start the bride wanted something simple, breezy and classic - but with a splash of added colour. Our soft blue flower embellishments picked up on the colour of the bride's wildflower table arrangements and lifted everything nicely.
Laura & Chris, 19th of April 2019
Our LOVE letters lit up the room for Chris and Laura's wedding and looked extra fab next to the beautiful kiddies' tents.
Claire & Anthony, 8th of December 2018
Claire and Anthony chose a Christmas theme for their December wedding. Our bright red chair dressing complemented their theme perfectly. Our gorgeous taffeta bows stayed bold and beautiful right through the day and night. We loved the little Christmas tree centrepieces too. Aren't they sweet?!
Ashleigh & Luke, 10th of November 2018
This wedding at The Millhouse used a simple, stripped-back colour scheme for a soft and classic look. Beautiful floral arrangements worked perfectly with our nude and ivory linens and we think the final result was absolutely beautiful.
Christene's christening, 23rd of September 2018
Our pale pink ruffle hoods helped create the perfect atmosphere for celebrating the birth of Christene's baby girl. The most beautiful christening we've ever worked on!
Jo & Daniel, 6th of July 2018
This wedding was a real labour of love for the whole family. Our linens and tree slice centrepieces added to the couple's own hand-crafted pieces and homemade cake for a very sophisticated and chic rustic look.
Joanna & Sam, 29th October 2016
Decoration with a subtle colour scheme was the order of the day for this wedding. We kept things light and breezy for our bride and groom using ivory linens. Our flower embellishments over soft lace were the perfect finishing touch.
Danielle & Jamie, 2nd September 2016
Our bride was looking for chair dressing to fit in with a vintage theme using a gentle palette of pinks and creams. Our flowing, pink hoods were just the ticket! We also installed our 4ft LOVE letters on the dance floor to give some glitz and glamour when the lights went down.
